5.7 miles - and a dog!

I ran before Church this morning. The weather is amazing - a little breezy when I headed east but the leaves crunching under my shoes and the pretty fall colors made the run so refreshing. I had no plans, other than wanting to run at least 5 miles. Wasn't ready for a super long run since I had no water nor the time. But it was a great run.

5.7 miles - 48:20 - 8:28 pace

Just about after I hit mile 4.4, there was a cute bull dog wandering around on the sidewalk, about to walk into traffic. I HAD TO STOP being the dog lover I am - and I HATE stopping on my runs, even for drinks or the bathroom. Anyhow, I paused MMR and looked at his tag - he was an oldie but so sweet. Turns out he was right in front of his house and the owner was out there, didn't seemed fazed he was out wandering around. I said your dog almost wandered into traffic, and the lady was just like oh I know he's crazy, sorry to bother your run. I said no bother, I have two beagles and I would want someone to stop them from traffic when they run away if they EVER left home. So I unpaused my clock and away I went, glad that the dog was save and hoping he wasn't going to wander off again.
