My thighs for some reason are sore from Sunday's race. I am going to attempt a run tomorrow morning and see how it goes.
I think it's crazy that I finished in the top 9% of female overall finishers and 8% in my age group. There were over 12,000 finishers and to think I was in the upper percents is pretty sweet. Although I am so far from reaching any REAL speed achievements....I ask myself now what? I think next HM my goal will be sub 1:50 - I think I can do it with better training.
We have a local 5K in two Sundays that I am excited about. Not only does it support our schools, it will give me a chance to go sub 25. I think I can do it. So I will work on speed work these next few weeks and keep my LRs around 5/6 miles.
Then deciding what next race to do this fall. I want to do either a 10k or 15k then will start training again for another HM next spring - I would do one over the winter but there just aren't any in our area!
