3 miler with a cold - first training run

I have a bad cold. But they say if it's from the neck up, run (neck down, rest). I did my first training run today - although I felt chills and stuffy it felt great to run after 3 days of rest.

I'm using the novice 2 higdon 18 week training schedule. I liked his half schedules and this one looks great. Anything more I don't think I'd have the time. I'm going to keep my pace runs around 9:00 as that is my ultimate marathon pace goal - to run a 4 hour race. We will see. I'm excited as I've run 3 half marathons and feel ready for this challenge. I just have to take it slow and I know I'll be able to do this - I hope!
